Each year that we send our students out to travel around the world learning skills, we know we're leaving concerned parents behind at home.

This year, one of our gap year moms stepped up to blog about what it's like to be a gap year parent. In this post, Jessica Griffin, "travel blogger, yoga instructor and dental hygienist, who has a wanderlust for travel," details the very real experience of knowing her daughter is going off the grid for 8 days with NOLS. She talks about great apps for staying in touch with your adventuring child, as well as ways to cope when they go offline, but you know they're safe.

Follow along with her adventure on her instagram as well: The_Wanderlust_Yogi
