My passion has always been sports and travel. My favorite sport has been lacrosse although I played football for many years. I have played lacrosse all through school and on year round club teams in MA. I had intended to play in college and I am not ruling that out. I would consider lacrosse the icing on my college choice -- my studies come first. I always liked to snowboard as well but I haven't made time for it in a few years.

After my year with Winterline I am considering revisiting some of the college acceptance letters that I received or doing  a few semesters at Sea.  Although I am not exactly sure what I want to do in the future I have been drawn to Criminology and Elder Services. I know they are quite different but both areas interest me at this time.  After I am exposed to the world I may very well have a new passion. I do know that I will not be sitting at a desk in a 9-to-5 type of position.

While away at Winterline I am looking forward to learning new skills, and seeing the world in a way that is new to me.  All of my travels have been with family on various luxury resorts. We have been to just about every tropical island, and are heading to Europe in June to celebrate my 18th birthday in Italy.

My favorite destination to date has been Hawaii. We have done some US traveling too but nothing like what I am about to experience.

I am always up for a challenge and I'll be happy to jump first! Winterline was my number one Gap Year choice because of the length and amount of exploring we will be doing in our short 9 months.  I'm excited to learn outside of a traditional classroom setting.  I am so lucky to have parents that support trying things outside of our comfort zone.

Many kids in our area don't even know what a "Gap Year" means let alone understand the benefits. There were so many Gap Year choices but the excitement of traveling with a group of young adults my age and digging into 10 countries cultures seemed like an amazing opportunity.  Why would I rush off to College to study something that may not be my future?

Words to live by:

"Don't Dwell On Mistakes As It Will Only Cause You To Make More,"

or..

"Don't Look Back As You Are Not Going There!"

I am known to be very easy going and even tempered.

One of my favorite songs would be Waves by Kanye West.  I love music and often like to just sit, relax and listen to all types of sounds.

If I could be a super hero I would want to fly and be free to take off and explore at a whim.

My most daring thing has been a cliff jump in a remote quarry approximately 65 ft high.  I am certain to laugh at that after my adventures with Winterline.

I am very excited to meet my travel companions.

I just graduated from High School, a bit early due to my amount of credits. I most recently attended Bridgton Academy, a boarding Prep School in Bridgton Maine.
