The 2015 Winterliners are just back from a week-long hike in the rain forests of Costa Rica. They hiked and rappelled down a waterfall. They also experienced the local culture by staying at home stays along the way where local families shared their everyday lives, which included butchering a chicken for dinner and processing raw sugar cane.
To wrap it all up, they spent the last day of the hike on the beach in Manuel Antonio surfing, relaxing and enjoying a day in the sun!
Up next for our Winterliners: Rancho Mastatal, where they'll learn about permaculture, erosion control, soil enrichment and natural building techniques. Stay tuned for pictures and more updates.
